Community trust is at the heart of Fammove. These standards guide how parents share experiences — and how those experiences become calm, balanced Community Insights that genuinely help other families.
Our purpose
Fammove exists to help families make informed school decisions through official data and balanced community experiences. We combine trustworthy information with the real, lived experiences of parents.
To be clear:
- We are not a social network.
- We are not a discussion forum.
- We are not Reddit.
- We are not Mumsnet.
Experiences should help another family understand a school — not attack or praise individuals.
What we encourage
Share experiences across topics such as:

Honest topic ratings
Each review includes a star rating for every topic you select, plus an overall sense of your experience. Ratings should reflect your own genuine experience.
- Rate based on what you personally experienced.
- There is no public overall school star rating — ratings build balanced topic insights, never league tables.
Artificially inflating or lowering ratings, coordinated rating campaigns, or repeated misuse may result in moderation action or account removal.
What we don't allow
The following are not permitted anywhere on Fammove:
- Personal attacks
- Naming staff
- Naming pupils
- Bullying
- Harassment
- Defamation
- Hate speech
- Offensive language
- Political campaigning
- Coordinated review campaigns
- Fake reviews
- Revenge reviews
- Organised attempts to damage schools
- Spam
- Advertising
- False allegations
- Discriminatory content
- Threatening language
Write about experiences, not people
Focus on describing experiences rather than judging individuals.
Instead of
"The Year 5 teacher was awful."
Try
"Communication around homework during our experience felt inconsistent."
Keep children safe
Never include any of the following in a review:
- Children's names
- Staff names
- Photographs
- Addresses
- Phone numbers
- Safeguarding information
- Personal medical information
Anonymous by design
- Reviews are anonymous.
- Reviews are never published verbatim by default.
- Approved reviews contribute to AI-generated Community Insights.
- AI summaries combine many experiences rather than amplifying individual opinions.
Moderation
Every review is moderated before it contributes to Community Insights. Possible outcomes are:
Fairness
- Schools evolve.
- Leadership changes.
- Teachers change.
- One experience should never define an entire school.
Community Insights identify recurring themes from many approved experiences rather than representing a single opinion.
Policy violations
Fammove may remove content and suspend accounts for:
- Fake reviews
- Coordinated campaigns
- Harassment
- Abuse
- Repeated rule breaches
- Malicious activity
- Multiple fake accounts
- Attempts to manipulate Community Insights
Persistent abuse may result in permanent removal.
